Introduction To The Liturgy of the Day

:God is One-Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is the mystery of the Trinity: one God in three divine persons. How do we come to have such knowledge of God? We know through God's self-revelation in Jesus Christ and through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. Around this truth we base our faith.

Today's readings speak of God, who is merciful and gracious, a God of love and peace. The Gospel makes clear that the Father sent his only Son into the world for our salvation. Paul assures the Corinthians that the Triune God is with them-the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of the the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
